- Jessica Sibley: Time 100 Talks, AI and a more equitable society. Fred Swanika is the founder of Sand Technologies. Sasha is the AI and climate leader hugging face. You were named one of the most important, influential people in AI today.
- Six years later, here we are at Dreamforce, the largest AI conference in the world. Is this a topic that's being spoken about this week? Are people more aware of that? Also, Fred, help answer this question. When you talk about ethics and training for that, is that part of what this is all about?
- Aih: We should be solving really big problems. We're spending a lot of money on AI. How do you use AI to solve healthcare and education and access to water? Are we getting enough return on our investment in AI?
- Sand technologies is a non defense palantir that leverages data and AI. In water, 66% of people in the world are going to face water scarcity by 2025. As we transition to the electric vehicle, where do I put charging stations in my cities? We can use AI to have real impact.
- Sasha: The existential threat debate is a distraction from the concrete problems we should be talking about. Sasha: If we focus on these problems, tomorrow's issues will be less drastic. Do you think you need to be a victim in order to become an activist?
- What I'm most excited about is being here at Dreamforce in San Francisco. 45,000 are streaming in virtually and the human to human connectivity is so meaningful and matters so much. Nothing, no technology, including AI, will replace that.
